Synopsis: Now that he has Sam in the cage with him, Lucifer offers Sam a way out but it comes with a steep price. Dean and Castiel look into the angel smiting that might have killed Amara.

Review: Nothing says we’re back like Mark Sheppard in a onesie and Lucifer doubling as Santa Claus! After a funny tease to kick off the show we are right back in the thick of things. Sam and Lucifer go through that song and dance again, will Sam say yes or will he say no? That is the million-dollar question. About half of this episode is Lucifer doing what he can to convince Sam to say yes to letting Lucifer use his body as a vessel and beat the darkness, all while Dean of course is doing what he can to save his brother. That sly dog, Lucifer almost had me convinced Sam should say yes.

It was nice to see some flash backs thrown into the episode. Nothing like seeing familiar faces! Colin Ford was back, which it is always nice to see him as Young Sam Winchester. Also, we got to see a little bit of Adam, you know Adam, their half brother that fell in the whole to hell with Sam. Fans are still waiting for more to take place with that and after this episode, don’t worry we are all still waiting.

The big relief for the episode, Sam says no. That’s right for once he said no, Lucifer threw his best shot and Sam still said no! It is so refreshing to see Sam stay strong. That a boy Sam! Even with all of Lucifer’s smooth talk, Sam still resisted, but Lucifer brought up some very good arguments that I am hoping are brought up again through out the season. The big one being the boys always seem to choose each other over the world, which sadly was a bitter pill to swallow. How many horrible things have happened? I mean sure they’ve done what they could to clean up after but still…

The unexpected parts of this episode, Rowena moments were probably some of the funniest of this episode and most revealing character wise. The brief moments in the episode are probably the most insightful of Rowena and Crowley’s relationship. Even though Rowena is forced to reveal these emotions, it is still very touching. Sadly though, those moments will not be happen again. If you’re a Supernatural fan you should have seen this was coming, after all Rowena is a woman after all. Sadly wither they are good or bad, they just don’t last on this show. Rowena meet her end at the hands of Lucifer. We all know she a goner as soon as she admitted she was the only one that could put Lucifer back in the box.

The shocking part of the episode? Castiel what did you do? While I am very grateful it wasn’t one of the Winchester boys to give in for a change, Castiel saying yes probably was the best way to reveal how truly worried he is about Amara. Castiel being the one to say yes speaks volumes of how bad this situation really is. Also its going to be hilarious watching Misha Collins act like Mark Pellegrino’s Lucifer acting like Castiel! I cant wait!

Just because it needs to be remembered forever!
