Supergirl Review: Season 1 Episode 12 "Bizarro"

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 12
“Bizarro”

Synopsis:
Kara faces off against her mirror image when Bizarro, a twisted version of Supergirl, sets out to destroy her. Also, Kara grows closer with Cat’s son, Adam

Review:
Maxwell Lord’s secret coma girl is finally awake and is a identical duplicate of Supergirl, Bizarro is here. While the battle with Bizarro is taking place, Alex finds out that Lord knows that Supergirl is Kara. While Kryptonite only destroyed her outer appearance, Hank comes up a way to reverse the affects of Kryptonite to defeat Bizarro.

Final Thoughts:
This was a difficult review to write up, this episode should have been great. There was so much they could have done with Bizarro, but instead it seemed like the majority of the episode revolved around Kara and her love life. It was an unfortunate reminder that I was watching a show that centers around a female superhero. If that sounds bad its because it is, Supergirl was becoming a show that everyone should watch, this episode made it seem more like a girl drama.

In many ways this show centers around the James Olsen character. The best episodes are the ones he isn’t on the screen, the episodes that struggle to find their footing seem to have a more James Olsen centric theme. This may be an issue in which the actor casted in the role of Olsen is just to good and takes away from what the story should be about.

Again, I can’t begin to describe my disappointment in this episode, it was a waste of a Villain that could have started something special. Let us know your thoughts of the episode and leave your comments below.
