The Binge Watcher Review: Hansel Vs. Gretel (2015)

Hansel Vs. Gretel (2015)

Starring:
Brent Lydic, Lili Baross, Aqueela Zoll, Jhey Castles, Riley Murphy, Nanrisa Lee, Fawn Stone, Elisha Kriis

Synopsis:
When Gretel falls under a dark spell and organizes a coven of witches, Hansel must find the courage to fight his twin sister and the sinister forces controlling her.

The Good:
This was a fun premise, turning Gretel evil and having her face off against her brother. This movie works, it uses just the right amount of CGI to make it fun but not ridiculous. The acting wasn’t horrible which makes it that much better.

The Bad:
Well this is a B-Movie and with it comes ridiculous scripts.

Final Thoughts:
If you need a cheesy group movie night film, look no further than Asylum Production. They have the best of the B-movies.

Hansel vs Gretel is a new twist on an old fairy tale. This movie takes place in the modern world and what better way for a movie like this to get attention than to cast the majority of the witches with beautiful women.

At the end of the day this is a cheesy movie, its definitely worth a watch whether if its a Date Night at home or a Bad Movie Night with friends. Just don't expect a master piece, there is a reason this was a straight to DVD Movie.

The Binge Watcher Review: San Andreas Quake (2015)

San Andreas Quake (2015)
Starring: Jhey Castles, Jason Woods, Grace Van Dien, Lane Townsend, Robert Evans

Synopsis:
When a discredited L.A. Seismologist warns of an impending 12.7 earthquake, no one takes her seriously. Now on her own, she races desperately to get her family to safety before the earthquake breaks Los Angeles apart from the mainland.

The Good:
Usually its a bit easier to find the good from movies like this, however this movie really was that bad.

The Bad:
Not sure if it was the acting or just a bad script but the dialogue from this movie was just horrible. Add to it the special effects were something I’ve seen produced on phone apps for humor.

Final Thoughts:
Don’t waste your time, this movie doesn’t have much going for it. It was extremely hard to listen to, most of the lines seemed forced and out of place. As for the special effects, I’ve seen better from Saturday morning Kids TV Shows. Also, how many times in this movie did a 4.0 earthquake cause mass damage around California. Than the damage seemed to escalate the same way with each earthquake, why?

If you wanted to see an action/disaster movie than just watch San Andreas starring the Rock. Not the B Movie knock off version of it. This movie was that bad, Don’t waste you time.
