Supergirl Review: Season 1 Episode 13 "For The Girl Who Has Everything"

Supergirl Season 1 Episode 13
“For The Girl Who Has Everything”

Synopsis:
A parasitic alien attaches itself to Kara and traps her in a world where krypton was never destroyed, leaving Alex, Hank and the DEO to fend off a Kryptonian attack without her.

Review:
So a parasitic alien has attached itself to Kara, placed on her by Non. The Kryptonians are trying to execute a plan while Supergirl is out of action. When Kara is trapped by the alien, she is thinks she is back on Krypton with her family. Alex gets help from Astra to defeat the alien, and while trying to stop the Kryptonians, Alex’s kills Astra.

Final Thoughts:
I am pretty sure I watch an episode of the animated series Justice League which Superman experiences the same story. Supergirl did a great job of redoing this story. Another interesting development during this episode, we are finally introduced to Kal-El. Although it was a young version during Kara’s dream sequence.

The more they tease Superman, the more I am starting to expect it to happen during the final few episodes. Its even more interesting that in the last week, there seems to be more talk of the casting of Superman, specifically Tom Welling from Smallville. This casting choice would make a lot of sense since The show runners have found roles in all of their shows for pervious stars of these properties. Just see Dean Cain, John Wesley Shipp, and Mark Hamil as the Trickster.

It seems there will be a lot to look forward to going forward, and we still have the Flash crossover to look forward to. Oh how I can’t wait for that episode.

I give this episode Two Thumbs Up, Let us know what your thoughts of the show were, and leave your comments below.
