Final Thoughts:
Finally, after a long and hot summer The Flash has returned. With the final episode of season three seeing Barry going back in time to stop him mothers death and details being released we know that The Flash will explore the comics “Flashpoint” story arc.

Now I’m not sure how you felt about direction this would take The Flash, I know I was concerned due to the players involved, I wondered if CW would be able to do justice with the story. After learning that Supergirl was moving to the CW and Superman would now play a part in that show, I became a little more excited with what could be.Then came the first episode of season 3 “Flashpoint”, unfortunately I came away a little disappointed. They managed to squeeze in what should have been a three of four episode story arc into a 45 min episode.

Outside of the obviously short Flashpoint story, episode three saw the return of The Reverse-Flash, who Barry trapped in an abandoned warehouse, we got to see Wally West as Kid Flash. But outside of Kid-Flash taking over being Central City’s Hero, Barry’s intervening in the murder of his mother left other consequence to the time line. We saw Joe being a drunk and Barry trying to figure out how to introduce himself to Iris.

Things change when The Rival, another speedster starts to attack central city. This is when Barry starts loosing his memory of the original time line, however Barry is ok with loosing his memory since he still has his parents, that is until The Rival kills Wally West. With the help of Eobard Thawne Barry goes back in time to correct his mistakes. This only leave to more consequences as The Reverse Flash is still alive.

So after a strange start of the season we now have the Reverse-Flash still around, but what does that mean for the remainder of the season? Barry will have to work to correct what he has done to the people he cares about. Another question which hopefully will be answered is whether or not we will be getting Earth-2’s Harrison Wells or if the Original Wells is still alive.
